NOTICE TO CONSUMERS of the LCPSA-KVS Waterworks (Waterworks ID No. 1105405)
We have been advised by State health officials of a failure to perform required monitoring in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia/State Board of Health Waterworks Regulations.
We are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards. During the third calendar quarter 2021, we did not monitor for Synthetic Organic Chemicals. We did collect these samples in November, 2021.
State health officials feel there is little need for concern about the safety of your water because past records show that our system has had no documented problems with Synthetic Organic Chemicals contamination; however, routine sampling and analysis is required to determine the quality of water delivered to our customers.
There is nothing you need to do at this time. We plan to collect the samples for analysis during the third calendar quarter 2022. For more information, please contact us at 276-346-7775.
Board of Directors next meeting will be June 27 at 2:00 p.m.
Be sure to take advantage of our new phone system!
ATTENTION LEE CO PSA
SEWER CUSTOMERS:
In keeping with our commitment to maintain minimal rates for sewer service, the Lee Co PSA is asking all of its sewer customers to refrain from flushing anything down the toilet except human waste and toilet paper. This includes any and all items that may be labeled "flushable". Any items flushed down the toilet except for human waste and toilet paper creates numerous issues for your service lines, the PSA's lines, our pump stations, and ultimately, our treatment facility, which increases operating costs, and thus increases customer costs.
Help us keep the rates you pay at a minimum. We certainly appreciate your cooperation and understanding on this matter.
